Also, be sure your downspouts are running away from the house.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Check Sump Pump.\u00a0<\/strong>If you have a sump pump, check to see if it is working!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Landscaping Holes.<\/strong>\u00a0Look around your house for any holes or low points and fill in if need be. Water can pool in those areas and it is a slippery slope to getting water in your basement.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Rain Barrel.<\/strong>\u00a0Now is a great time to set up a rain barrel. So, it is best to stay off if possible.
